Art from the Ashes

Helene innovated two artist residencies in former Nazi territory to explore a sense of Jewish identity within the confines of traumatic historical sites.

The artwork produced during these two residencies, in Terezín, Czech Republic (Middle European Colony of Contemporary Arts) and O_wi_cim, Poland (Auschwitz Jewish Center) is the exhibit Art from the Ashes.
